Take Charge
Take Charge is a an economic development educational program developed by the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development whereby leaders in small communities learn about their community and plan for its future.
Reports
An important part of learning is studying factual indicators. The Take Charge Reports contain a number of pertinent indicators for "taking stock" of local conditions and capacity. The Take Charge Reports are intended to help participants examine the current trends and characteristics of their community and to better understand opportunities for economic growth.
Planning Guide
The Take Charge Planning Guide contains materials for facilitated workshops that promote community teamwork. The outcome of the Take Charge program will be an understanding of the community's strengths and weaknesses and a strategic plan for economic development.
